"I have been interested in trading since 2017, when I first got involved with crypto. Like many people, I lost money and eventually stepped away for a while. When I came back to trading in 2023, I was still passionate but also very skeptical. In the crypto world almost everyone calls themselves a trading guru and tries to sell you courses, but most have no real substance or long-term track record.
Looking back, my main challenge was that I was not really trading; I was gambling. I had no coherent strategy of my own. I would follow other people’s analysis and place trades based on that, without proper risk management and without truly understanding why I was in a trade. My relationship with the markets was emotional, and I was constantly second-guessing myself. At the same time, I didn’t trust the usual “mentors” because so many of them seemed to make their money from selling courses rather than from trading.
I started following Charlie on YouTube and it took me about two years to finally join his community and then his mentorship programme. During that time I paid close attention to how he talked about the markets, risk and psychology. Not once did I get the feeling that he was just another “internet guru”. He comes across as the real deal: a professional trader first, educator second, with genuine experience and a strong focus on the realities of trading – especially psychology. Alongside that, he pushed the importance of risk management, journaling and routine: I now keep a proper trade log, I analyse my trades, and I have specific times dedicated to market analysis and trade management instead of constantly staring at my positions.
Working with Charlie has completely changed who I am as a trader. I now have a clear, rules-based approach and I know exactly what I am looking for before entering a trade. I know in advance how and when I plan to exit and under what conditions. More importantly, I am not emotionally affected by losses in the way I used to be. Charlie has helped me to genuinely see trading as a probabilistic business: losses are part of the process so that you can get to the wins, and it is all about statistics, risk and consistency over time. I no longer find myself checking my trades ten times a day or late at night. Instead, my whole relationship with trading has become calmer, more structured and much more professional.
There is a great deal I have learned from Charlie, and I am still learning. Having a mentor like him can save you years of mistakes and a lot of emotional pain from trying to figure everything out on your own. Even then, there is no guarantee you would ever reach the level of clarity and professionalism you get by taking him on as your coach and mentor.
